Northern Thai or “Lanna” cuisine borrows elements from neighboring China, Myanmar and India and combines them to produce its own unique flavours. The khan toke meal is typically Northern Thai, and consists of bowls containing various dishes served on a tray with small legs, traditionally made from woven bamboo.
