It began as a delicatessen but owner Sergio has transformed this place into one of the more popular Italian eateries. Specialties include tuna in veal sauce, excellent pizzas, black spaghetti, shrimp dishes and great pasta selections. Ask to see the wine cellar, Sergio is a wine connoisseur and will gladly help you choose the right wine for your dinner selection. The deli offers all kinds of cheeses, hams and hard to find items in Chiang Mai.

David’s Kitchen

For a great out of Chiang Mai try this great rustic restaurant hidden in the hills. A natural setting next to a river provides a restful ambiance. Try the spaghetti carbonara, lasagna, cheese fondue or T-Bone steak. Thai dishes are also available. The home-made ice cream is delicious. The restaurant is on the same property as Tharnthong Lodges, where bungalows are available for a weekend getaway.

La Gritta

A great place for their lunch buffet. Lots of choices and very well priced. Nice views of the pool and excellent service. Dinner is just as good here. Very popular with the ex-pat crowd.

Probably the best pizza in Chiang Mai! They have a wood fired oven and plenty of topping choices. Reasonably priced in a rustic setting. Service can be slow. On the Sunday Market walking street.
